Hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to let everyone know that me and my band will be making our way down to Philadelphia on October 1st to play World Cafe Live. This is our first show in Philly, so we’re all really excited and hope you all can make it out to the show. We’ll be playing new songs off my brand-new album E.L.S. Hey everyone,
Today, after months of work and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, my new album E.L.S. is out on Nat Geo Music. Head on over to my new Facebook store to buy special merch items. The album was a collaborative effort with a number of my friends, including Mario C of the Beastie Boys, David Hurwitz, and Jason Lader (Julian Casablancas, Jenny Lewis), as well as special guests Joey Altruda and Money Mark (John Butler Trio). And my album’s title refers to Electric Latin Soul, a combination of rock, soul, boogaloo, and number of other styles that have personally inspired me over the years. “E.L.S.” Video Premieres on YouTube’s Music Page
Rene Lopez premiered his new video today for the infectious song “E.L.S.” on YouTube.com. It is currently featured on the Music Page at YouTube. The song is taken from Rene’s upcoming album, E.L.S., due out on August 30th via Nat Geo Music. As YouTube describes it, “Latin grooves, dj cool…Rene Lopez’s brand new video equals good summer fun!” We couldn’t have said it better. Check it out above. The video was directed by C.B. Smith.
New Album, E.L.S., Out August 30!
Rene Lopez just finished recording his new album, E.L.S., which stands for Electric Latin Soul. He coined the term to describe the style of music he has been developing over the past year, which mixes Latin soul and Boogaloo with rock, r&b, and hip-hop. The album is out August 30th on Nat Geo Music and has amazing guests including Money Mark (John Butler Trio, Beastie Boys) plus co-producers Mario C (Beastie Boys, Jack Johnson) and Jason Lader (Julian Casablancas, Jenny Lewis).
